Brain Dome
At Flybits Labs, my team developed an application inspired by Professor Rahnama’s concept of Perspective Aware AI, a next-generation approach to AI that goes beyond simple information retrieval. By understanding and adapting to different viewpoints, Perspective Aware AI helps users engage meaningfully with diverse perspectives, fostering deeper understanding and connection. Forbes wrote a great article about it.
Our demo uses virtual reality as a space where users can explore knowledge, opinions, and viewpoints. Here’s how it works:
Activate Two Chronicles: The user brings a piece of content into the VR environment and activates two “Chronicles” — AI agents, each with their unique perspectives.
Perspective-Driven Recommendations: The Chronicles analyze the content and provide suggestions for relevant articles, websites, and videos, reflecting distinct viewpoints.
Immersive Interaction: Users can immerse themselves in these AI-driven perspectives, experiencing firsthand how the same content can be interpreted through different lenses.
This demo explores user experience and interaction models for next-generation AI applications, where AI not only assists but also collaborates. By letting users explore multiple perspectives, it shows how Perspective Aware AI can enrich communication, learning, and understanding.
OpenDome serves as the underlying technology for this application. My role encompassed project leadership, concept development, and software engineering.
